Inquiry Project
The inquiry project allows you to identify an issue or situation in your professional
setting that relates to the course content and that affords you the opportunity to apply
that content to your own situation. You are guided through a step-by-step process of planning,
implementing, analyzing, and evaluating strategies and techniques you learn in the course.
Our Model
Drake University's video and online courses are designed on our lesson study based teaching model:
- Analyze a concept to discuss the research and content related to standards-based learning.
- Plan & Demonstrate how to use the concept through effective teaching and learning strategies.
- Collaborate about the concept and create an instructional model for classroom implementation.
- Reflect on how the concept and instructional model meet the needs of individual students.
- Apply the concept and instructional model to help students meet curriculum goals and standards.
- Assess the effectiveness of the concept and model by analyzing the quality of students' work.
